Facilities Administrator - West Croydon - Leading Property Business
We are seeking a Facilities Administrator to join our team in West Croydon. This is an essential office-based role designed for a proactive professional who possesses a strong grasp of office operations and the ability to work autonomously to keep the department running smoothly.
The Role
As the Facilities Administrator, you are the backbone of the department's efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for all employees and visitors. This role requires a candidate who anticipates operational needs and manages a diverse range of tasks with initiative and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Vendor Coordination: Take ownership of scheduling routine upkeep, including electrical, plumbing, security systems, and canteen facilities.
Office Logistics & Supply Chain: Monitor and manage inventory levels for office supplies and equipment. You will also oversee the full mailroom cycle-handling incoming/outgoing post, franking, and courier coordination for the building.
Compliance & Safety: Assist in maintaining health and safety standards. This includes conducting regular inspections, addressing issues promptly, and coordinating First Aid training for staff.
Record & Archive Management: Maintain meticulous digital records of maintenance logs, vendor contracts, and safety inspections. You will also manage the retrieval and collection of archived files.
Fleet & Space Support: Assist with the management of company pool cars and help coordinate office moves or space planning as required.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate who combines high-level administrative skills with practical judgment.
You must have a strong background in a professional administrative role.
You need a solid understanding of how a professional office functions.
We value the ability to work independently. You should be someone who identifies what needs to be done and takes the necessary steps to resolve issues.
Strong multitasking skills and a high level of accuracy are non-negotiable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
