Key Responsibilities of the School Catering Supervisor
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day running of the catering service:
Food Production & Menu Planning: Support the planning and execution of daily menus and food production schedules.
Safety and Hygiene: Oversee meal service and maintain accurate hygiene and safety records.
Stock Management: Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries, and monitor cost control.
Team Leadership: Lead, support, train, and develop the catering staff team.
Customer Service: Actively promote a positive and enjoyable dining experience for all.Requirements for the Ideal Candidate
Proven Experience: Significant experience in large-scale catering, ideally in the education sector.
Qualifications: Essential Hygiene Certificate (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene); a formal catering qualification is also desirable.
Leadership Skills: Strong organisation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Commitment: A positive approach with high personal standards and commitment to healthy eating.
