*The Role*
You will join the Commercial Property / Real Estate team and be responsible for managing your own caseload. Key duties will include:
* Handling acquisitions and disposals (freehold & leasehold) of commercial properties.
* Drafting, negotiating, and advising on leases (landlord/tenant) including renewals, surrenders, rent reviews.
* Advising on property finance, development / site purchase, possibly secured lending.
* Working with corporate teams on property aspects of business sales or acquisitions.
* Working with external stakeholders: agents, surveyors, planning authorities, etc.
* Maintaining strong client relationships; providing technically sound, commercially aware advice.
* Keeping up to date with property law developments, Land Registry, environmental or planning law where relevant.
*Person Specification*
*Essential:*
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (with practising certificate).
* PQE level: typically 5-10 years (or else as specified) in commercial property / real estate law.
* Proven experience with freehold & leasehold transactions, landlord & tenant matters.
* Strong drafting, negotiation, communication skills.
* Ability to manage your own caseload and meet deadlines.
* Commercial awareness, client‑focused approach.
*Desirable:*
* Experience in property finance or development work.
* Experience in higher value / London / large‑scale transactions.
* Supervisory or mentoring experience.
* Experience in using modern case management / legal tech systems.
