Automotive Mechanic
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles
* Perform maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and tune-ups
* Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems (e.g., brakes, engines, transmissions, suspension)
* Conduct vehicle tests to verify repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and verify performance
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
* Follow all safety and environmental regulations and company policies
* Communicate effectively with customers and team members about vehicle issues and recommended repairs
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician
* Knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical and electrical components
* Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Valid driver’s license
* (Optional) Certification such as ASE or equivalent is an asset
Work Environment
* Full-time position (hours may vary)
* Shop environment with exposure to noise, tools, and mechanical equipment
* Must be able to lift moderate to heavy objects as required
