Role: Year End Accountant - Local Authority experience is essential
Location: East Midlands - Hybrid working
Type: 6 months on going
Daily rate: 400- 600 per day
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting to an Interim Year End Accountant for a Local Authority based in the East Midlands.
Key responsibilities: Year End Accountant
- Manage processes for preparing, reporting, and monitoring the Council's budgets
- Oversee the preparation of Final Accounts
- Produce and enhance the Statement of Accounts
- Assist with the development and improvement of the accounting system
- Act as the key contact for Central Government, auditors and suppliers
- Provide financial advice
- Statutory Returns and Grant claims
Person specification: Year End Accountant
- Experience in local government finance, budget preparation and statutory reporting
