Inclusive Consulting is thrilled to partner with a well-established and growing company in Sheffield, renowned for its commitment to operational excellence. We are recruiting a detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team in a permanent position. This role will be key to maintaining the company's cash flow, managing outstanding debt, and building strong relationships with customers.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the credit control process, including chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and letter.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any disputes or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and help to minimize overdue debts.
- Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and resolve any queries.
- Prepare regular reports on aged debt and highlight any risks or issues to senior management.
- Assist with month-end processes and contribute to the overall cash flow forecasting.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
- A good understanding of credit control systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage challenging conversations and negotiate effectively.

This permanent position offers a salary of £30,000-£35,000, with the flexibility of hybrid working. The office is centrally located in Sheffield with excellent transport links and parking.
