In the Corporate Research & Technology department, we are looking at the innovations and developments of tomorrow.

Lead and manage complex photonic integrated circuit (PIC) development projects

Lead and manage complex external partnerships and initiatives in the field of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs)
-
Provide professional leadership to the project team

Plan and monitor project resources (budget, time, people)

Ensure adherence to quality standards and deadlines

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (development, production, marketing, customers, suppliers)

Identify, assess and mitigate project risks

Continuously optimise project management processes and workflows

Report project progress to senior management

Manage procurement and contracts

University degree (Master/Diploma) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Technology or a comparable field. Having a Ph.D. would be preferred.

Several years of practical experience in the design or manufacture of photonic integrated circuits.

In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies, including but not limited to waveguide design, lithography, etching processes, and assembly and connection technology.

Proven project management experience, ideally with relevant certification (e.g. PMP, IPMA).

Experience in applying work techniques, systematic problem solving and strategic thinking.

Ability to align project goals with the overall objectives of the organisation and to consider the long term implications of decisions.

Ability to motivate the team and foster a positive, collaborative working environment.

Strong communication, conflict resolution and team working skills.
