Working Setup: 40 hours per week, Mondays to Fridays, 10:00 to 19:00.

The group is currently focused on rolling up staffing and recruitment businesses in the UK as well as a leading Employer of Record and recruitment business in South Africa. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven accountant to join our Finance and Operations team in our Cape Town office. This is an excellent opportunity for accountants who wish to further their career and gain valuable experience in the field of accounting, payroll, finance operations and financial management. This role will report to the Finance & Operations Manager and offers the opportunity to develop a career as a finance professional in a global business.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Day-to-day recording of transactions into the accounting system
Daily updating of cash books for bank accounts across all companies
Monthly bank reconciliations of bank accounts across all companies
Allocation of payments to accounts payable
Weekly and monthly accounts payable reporting to the Finance Manager
Preparation of weekly accounts payable schedule
Allocation of receipts against remittance advice to accounts receivable
Weekly and monthly accounts receivable reporting to the Finance Manager
Assisting the FinOps Team in accounts receivable chasing and managing
Preparing and importing weekly and monthly client billing into the accounting system
Posting of weekly temp payroll journals into the accounting system
Processing monthly RSA payroll in Sage Payroll Professional
Posting of monthly permanent staff payroll journals into the accounting system
Posting of month end journals into the accounting system
Upkeep of all balance sheet account reconciliations
Assisting the FinOps Team with weekly temp payroll preparation and processing
Preparation and submissions of quarterly VAT returns for all companies
Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts for all companies
Adhoc bookkeeper related tasks as required by Finance Manager
This role requires the following qualifications and experience:
BComm Accounting, BComm Financial Accounting or BComm Management Accounting degree or equivalent
Completed SAIPA/SAICA Articles
Minimum 2 years post articles experience
Proven RSA payroll processing experience
Experience working on Sage Payroll Professional advantageous
UK payroll processing experience advantageous
Experience working on Xero advantageous

Remuneration Package:
Basic salary of R300000 to R360000 annually depending on experience
Quarterly bonus scheme post probation
Company medical aid contribution after 12 months
