5* Game Lodge in the Grahamstown area is looking for an Assistant Lodge Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and gain experience in the ecotourism & hospitality sector.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily running of the Lodge operations.
- Front of House.
- F&B / Kitchen & Stock take duties.
- Hosting of guests.
- Foster a friendly & welcoming environment.
- Ensure high levels of Guest satisfaction.
- Kitchen & Bar Oversight, stock takes & ordering.
- Ensure that excellent service standards are maintained.
- Guest Liaison.
- Staff Training.
- Back up & relief for the General Manager.
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years previous experience in a similar hospitality role/environment.
- Computer literacy skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans spoken and written.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude and sense of responsibility.
- Reliable.
- Honest.
- Hard Working.
- Prepared to go above and beyond when required.
- Flexible and able to handle anything that gets thrown at them.
- Strong in Food and Beverage background and kitchen experience would be preferable.
- Strong and with experience in stock takes and inputting of stocks.
- Strong personality.
- Good interpersonal skills especially with staff and guests.
- Very strong communication skills and fluent in English.
- Career driven.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
