Hays are partnering with an entertainment venue in Belfast to recruit an Event Production Team Lead. You will oversee and drive the success of the Production and Crew teams across several venues.
Your new role
You will coordinate and manage two teams responsible for the setup and delivery of conference and entertainment events across the company's venues.Key duties include:
Team Leadership and Line Management
Lead and support staff, ensuring motivation and alignment with goals.Oversee performance with clear expectations and regular feedback.Implement performance management, set targets, and development plans.Conduct meetings to communicate goals and updates.Promote professionalism and adherence to protocols.
Staffing and Resource ManagementManage rotas and schedules for staffOversee casual staff scheduling to meet event demands efficiently.Maintain staffing resources for high-quality event delivery.
Event Setup and DeliveryCoordinate setup, technical needs, and breakdown of events.Ensure events meet high standards and client expectations.Collaborate with departments for seamless event delivery.Communicate with the Head of Production on performance and challenges.Develop operational models and recommend improvements.Support capital expenditure proposals for technical enhancements.Act as the main contact for technical support during events.
Health and Safety ComplianceEnsure health and safety protocols during event setup and takedown.Conduct safety briefings, risk assessments, and compliance checks.Train team members in health and safety procedures.
Training and DevelopmentIdentify training needs and manage training plans and budgets.Provide hands-on training and support new hires through induction.
What you'll need to succeed At least three years' experience as a team manager within a relatable industryProven experience in creating and executing training plans for large teams.Ability to manage team performance to meet business goals.Skilled in handling pressure and making quick decisions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
What you'll get in return £27,748 - £36,664 per annum (depending on experience)Permanent positionFull-time post - 37 hours per week. Role will require work outside standard office hours including evenings and weekendsBelfastExcellent pension contribution from employerOption for flexible working
