A Receiving Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a company's receiving department. They are responsible for ensuring that all incoming products or materials are received and processed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising and managing the receiving department staff to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Creating and implementing processes and procedures that promote efficient product or material receiving.
Creating and maintaining receiving records and documentation.
Inspecting incoming products or materials to ensure they meet quality standards and reporting any issues to the appropriate department or personnel.
Communicating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products or materials.
Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery and processing of products or materials.
Ensuring that all receiving areas are kept clean and organized.
Training and mentoring staff to ensure that they are able to perform their duties accurately and efficiently.
Maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent educational experience.
Previous experience in a receiving or related role.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of employees.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with computers and various software applications including Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
