Job purpose
To provide comprehensive nursing care and management for the nursing treatment and rehabilitation for all health problems of individuals, groups, and communities as a practitioner
Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide a comprehensive primary health care services to the community including TB/HIV care, mother and child services, and general check-ups
- Be able to implement and monitor various programmes
- Provide reproductive health exams and education.
- Provide pre-natal and post-natal services.
- Improve the health of the community through health education
- To implement health and safety best practices and monitor trends.
- To liaise with the healthcare manager and other healthcare organisations.
Qualifications/Requirements (non-negotiable) - Matric
- Diploma in Nursing/B.Curr
- Dispensing License (Mandatory)
- Qualified Professional Nurse with Midwifery
- Short courses are an advantage : NIMART,IMCI, etc
- 3-5 Years experience as a professional nurse working in community healthcare
- Experience in working in an NPO
- Must have good communication skills.
