- Reading blueprints and specifications
- Monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
- Recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products being produced.
- Measuring products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometres.
- Operating electronic inspection equipment and software.
- Removing all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Reporting inspection and testing data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected.
- Ensure quality control reporting and record keeping is maintained.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Quality control course/certificates will be advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Must have exceptional computer literacy (Microsoft Excel is essential).
- Knowledge of policy and procedure.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Willingness to learn.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Timely and well organized.
- Excellent observation and analytical skills.
- Good technical skills.
