Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough site surveys and assessments to inform HVAC system design.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive design briefs.
- Utilize advanced HVAC design software to perform calculations and simulations for optimal system performance.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in compliance with industry standards.
- Provide expert technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to construction and commissioning.
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance our design capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in HVAC system design and consulting engineering.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation tools.
- Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, SANS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is advantageous.
- Experience across various project sectors, including retail, corporate, leisure, education, healthcare, and industrial, is desirable.
