We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our team for a 2-3 month contract . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and leading a team of finance professionals. Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- BCom (Hons) CA (SA) or ACCA qualification.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a property or listed environment.
- Proficient in Excel, CaseWare, MDA, and the full MS Office suite.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, REITs, Companies Act, and Tax Act.
Monthly Management Accounts and Reporting:
- Ensure completeness and correct allocation of transactions to the ledger.
- Complete, review, and sign off on reconciliations promptly.
- Assist in preparing Audit Committee and Board packs.
Budgets and Forecasts:
- Assist in preparing budgets and ensure approved budgets are uploaded into the MDA system.
- Coordinate and consolidate monthly variance reporting.
Interim and Year-End Reporting:
- Prepare annual financial statements.
- Assist in preparing interim financial results.
Tax Matters:
- Review monthly VAT returns and handle tax computations and submissions.
- Address tax queries, audits, and complete ITR14 submissions.
- Assist in preparing the tax pack for annual financial statements.
Audits:
- Oversee and review the preparation of monthly and annual audit files.
- Liaise with auditors regarding information requests.
Team Management:
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Finance team.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary training and maintains discipline.
- Promote adherence to company values, mission, vision, and HR policies.
