European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km‑long X‑ray laser, which produces X‑rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. The diverse scientific facilities at European XFEL enable scientists from across the globe to carry out a wide range of experimental techniques.
For our Procurement group we are looking for a
Procurement Officer (f/m/d) part-time 19,5 h/week
- Analyzing innovative procurement cases in the scientific environment
- Verifying compliance with innovative procurement EU regulations
- Supporting pre-procurement market analysis
- Implement and execute innovation procurement processes
- Purchasing of goods and services in accordance with public procurement law (VGV and UVgO)
- Preparing and executing public tendering procedures nationally and EU-wide
- Evaluation of offers and price negotiations
- Contribution to the project management and reporting
- Support of the organization of the training sessions at European XFEL
- Support of the dissemination activities of the project INPROCAP
- Other relevant purchasing duties as assigned
- Completed university degree preferably in business administration or a comparable field of study
- Education and/or training in commercial disciplines (business administration or similar)
- Minimum 2 – 3 years of purchasing experience preferably in the scientific environment
- Good knowledge of public procurement procedures and laws
- Preferably experience in foreign trade and custom matters
- Knowledge of ERP Systems and use of electronic procurement platforms
- Fluent in English (reading and writing) and fluent in German is a valuable asset
