The successful candidate will support the Production Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production department, aligning processes with the companys strategic goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of production experience.
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management support role.
- Experience in impregnation, stenter environment, or wet processing.
- A relevant production, chemical, or engineering qualification.
- Grade 12 with Mathematics.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety protocols.

- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to support and motivate teams.
- Proven track record in assisting production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical expertise in both chemical and mechanical processes relevant to glass fiber and resin production.
- Ability to support process improvements and manage complex production challenges.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production unit, ensuring that production schedules are met with high efficiency and quality.
- Support the management of production processes to achieve targets and maintain cost efficiencies in line with annual budgets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, ISO Quality Management Systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring effective inventory controls and stock management practices.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and company policies.
