A Investment Platform is building a new and exciting financial services business which will provide a leading-edge investment platform and supporting services to independent financial advisers as well as tied advisers within a leading Bank and Financial Services leader. As part of Africaâs largest wealth manager, This Group Investment Platform is able to leverage the latest global technologies to build an investment platform based on modern architecture and straight through processing. This will deliver a highly competitive proposition based on customer centricity and digital enablement. You will play a key role in delivering this innovative and groundbreaking solution, transitioning our current LISP business and supporting the vision of becoming the number one investment platform in South Africa.

Objective of the Role: The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively within your team and across other teams in the business to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Key Responsibilities: Â
- Understand the future finance and IT operational landscape and assist in developing processes to support vision in line with business operating model.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting.
- Maintenance of accurate and complete financial records
- Improving financial business processes to ensure that additional transactional volumes associated with the growth of the business can be supported.
- Design and preparation of monthly financial reports and account reconciliations to strengthen financial controls.
- Management of all monthly IT business processes including monitoring of system batch processes and error logs.
- Document business processes and procedures required to ensure the IT production support team can perform their daily tasks.
- Identification of key Financial Risks to the business, reporting risks and implementing mitigation controls and procedures.
- Analysis of IT production support function business requirements including gap analysis of changes required to existing systems and processes to ensure optimisation of resources.
- Analysis of technical accounting treatment of Investment Platform client transactions and configuration to ensure system process in line with Accounting Standards.
- Consult and co-ordinate extensively with key stakeholders across Business and IT teams.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
     Qualified CA(SA) preferable
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio), with MS Excel at least at intermediate level.
- Knowledge of SQL data extract techniques a distinct advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly numerate and able to analyse and interpret financial data to produce reports which can be understood by non-financial colleagues.
- Ability to work at both a detailed and strategic level.
Experience: Â - At least 5 yearsâ experience post qualification with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the Financial Services Industry.
- Business process definition experience, to ensure optimal business performance
- Experience with financial business requirements e.g. general ledger, payment systems and reconciliations.
- Experience in solving complex problems for customers (internal or external).
- Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams.
- Experience at working in a fast paced, proactive and delivery focused environments.
- Experience in analyzing and consolidating large data sets between different systems to derive Management Information.
- Team management experience is essential.
- Working experience on SAP, Sonata, Compass would be highly advantageous.
