RS Recruitment Services is assisting a well-established organisation in the INK MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY to recruit an INK TECHNICIAN to be based at their offices in MIDRAND JOHNNESBURG . R17 000 to R19 000 ctc, dependent on experience.
OUR CLIENT IS A LEADING MANUFACTURER, DISTRIBUTOR AND SUPPLIER OF SPECIALISED INKS, COATINGS AND ADHESIVE THROUGHOUT SOUTH AFRICA.
The ideal candidate should have/be the following:
At least 5 years experience as an Ink Technician in a printing environment.
A fundamental understanding of different printing applications and formulating.
Colour Test Passed colour matching proficiency colour wheel, 100-part formulation.
Exposure & experience of the various certifications of our industry & customers e.g. BRC/ISO90002.
Exposure & understanding regarding the requirements and use of MSDS & Technical Data sheets.
Technical aptitude i.e. the ability to use a spectrophotometer, ink formulator and ink dispensing system.
Computer literacy ability to use outlook, basic excel, word and navigate to open programmes as required.
Prepared to work shifts, if necessary.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Mixing and issuing ink, varnish, chemicals and other consumable items.
Colour matching.
Prepare samples for customers.
Perform lab tests by following and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform daily Quality Control checks on all products leaving the factory and coming into the factory.
Conducting drawdowns/proofs for new pantone/jobs.
Ability to resolve technical ink/press issues at customers and in the lab. (Technical troubleshooting.)
Capturing information on the Ink Management System.
Manage ink returns and stock.
Maintain and track results by accurately and timeously documenting all activities and saving in the digital centralised technical folders.
Prioritising the daily tasks and workflow for ink kitchen/lab.
Oversee production and performing QC procedures when production has been completed.
Remuneration:
R17 000 to R19 000 ctc, dependent on experience.
