A leading global consulting and business intelligence solutions provider is hiring a Senior Power BI Reports Support Engineer with expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data warehousing to support and optimize business intelligence operations.
About the Role
As a Senior Power BI Reports Support Engineer, you’ll serve as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting Power BI reports and ensuring data accuracy. Key responsibilities include:
Be the first point of contact for users experiencing data issues, troubleshooting and resolving Power BI report issues.
Conduct Data Analysis and expert debugging, analyze data models, and document solutions to maintain high data quality and reliable reporting.
Work closely with business users and developers to understand challenges and provide efficient, targeted solutions.
Participate in code optimization and develop new Power BI reports for enhanced functionality.
Minimum Requirements
5+ Years of hands-on experience in Power BI support, development, or QA.
3+ Years in data preparation, data modeling, data gateway, and warehousing projects.
Strong skills in DAX, SQL, SSIS packages, and cloud-based data warehouse products.
Proven experience in data troubleshooting, incident resolution, and technical support ticket handling.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for seamless user support and teamwork.

Additional Information
Contract: Full-time, independent contractor position, renewed annually.
Working Hours: Full-time, 8-hour days (UK time zone), for 230 working days per year.
Leave and Public Holidays: Approximately 30 days off for public holidays and vacation, typically observing South African holidays.
Hardware Provided: High-spec computer with customizable options within budget.
Steady Monthly Income: Annual compensation divided into equal monthly payments.
Occasional After-Hours Meetings: Flexibility is required for after-hours meetings, with compensatory time off provided.
