Duties & Responsibilities
ROLE:
- You are responsible for tax implementation support, including testing in the developing, adapting, and expanding IT systems and processes to ensure tax compliance (e.g., indirect taxes, tax authority reporting, tax ledger reporting, tax risk management, KPI reporting).
- Your tasks include independently developing the relevant tax standards and guidelines and ensuring timely tax documentation.
- You define the data needs of the tax team and continue the development of the tax digitalization roadmap aligned with GROUP wide strategies.
- You deliver tactical and strategic data and digital tax solutions set out in the GROUP tax digitalization roadmap.
- Coordinating and taking care for a certain market rollout in all belongings of my product.
- Maintains overview over the Feature Team specific processes & structures.
- Ensures that the Feature Team solution for a market will be implemented & tested.
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- South African citizens/residents are preferred.
- Post graduate degree or certification in Taxation is preferred.
- Minimum BCOM in Accounting, Law, Computer Science or similar would be considered.
- Chartered Accountant or MBA (advantageous).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- In-depth Process & Accounting Knowledge.
- Experience and affinity for IT & processes, particularly in international taxes.
- Strong Change - & Project Management.
- Good knowledge of the role of data and the use of technology in managing tax.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems including SAP.
- Excellent and articulate communicator.
- Ability to influence and engage with authority.
- Strong business acumen.
- Self-motivated with ability to take ownership and work autonomously.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.
ADVANTAGEOUS TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Experience in global SAP template rollouts.
- Agile methodology experience.
- German speaking.
- HR Services, Recruitment & Selection.
