Our client is looking for a highly experienced Mine Manager to oversee operations at a leading gold mine. This is a critical role requiring extensive knowledge of gold mining processes, safety regulations, and leadership in managing large teams. The ideal candidate will drive productivity and ensure the mine's long-term sustainability and profitability while adhering to environmental and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all operations of the gold mine, ensuring efficient and sustainable production processes.
- Develop and implement mining plans, schedules, and budgets to achieve production targets.
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring strict compliance with all regulations and industry standards.
- Manage the mine's workforce, providing leadership and support to department heads, engineers, and technical staff.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of equipment and processes to maximize gold extraction and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including permits and reporting obligations related to mining operations.
- Collaborate with geological and metallurgical teams to improve resource extraction and manage ore reserves.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to increase productivity and reduce operational risks.
- Lead audits and reviews of safety, environmental, and operational procedures, ensuring the mine operates at peak performance.
- Report to senior management on the mine’s financial performance, production progress, and risk management strategies.
