Job Description
The Activations and Events Director plays a vital role within Africa's top Sales & Marketing Solutions Company, focused on enhancing Consumer Experiences & Commerce. They are responsible for building strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and promoting company solutions for sustainable growth.
While the position is primarily commercial, it also involves managing client relationships, understanding their business objectives, and staying informed about broader business insights like strategy, creativity, systems, and data.
Key responsibilities include ensuring profitability and viability of their vertical, managing client resourcing, negotiating contracts, monitoring project profitability, evaluating new ventures, handling HR administration, and deploying technology for sales and new business development.
The primary goal is to drive new business development by identifying opportunities, expanding the client base, generating revenue, and fostering sustainable growth. This involves strategic market analysis, competitor assessment, and innovative solution development to position the company as a preferred partner and drive bottom-line results through successful acquisition of new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or 10 years relevant work experience within a similar environment
Experience
10 years, commercial, sales & marketing industry experience Experience in BTL advertising is a must Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets in a related industry. Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close deals. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges. Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue growth and maximizing client satisfaction
