Adecco are currently looking for a Skilled Stone Mason to work for our client in the Bolton area, working initially on a temporary basis, with a view to going permanent for the right candidate.
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: BL5
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm and Fri 7am-2:30pm (1 hr unpaid break each shift , Fri 45mins)
Hourly Rate: £15.40ph to £16.30ph
Key Responsibilities:
Cutting, shaping and finishing natural stone to precise specifications
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Polishing, smoothing and finishing completed stone products
Carrying out repairs and restoration work on damaged or chipped stone
Mixing and applying grouts, cements and adhesives
Creating pocketing and inlays within stonework
Preparing materials for sandblasting processes
Supporting installation and site based activities when required
Working collaboratively within the production team to deliver high quality finished productsRequirements:
Minimum 2 year's experience working as a Stone Mason or within the natural stone industry
Experience cutting, shaping, finishing or restoring natural stone
Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong work ethic and reliability
Team player with a positive attitudeDesirable but not essential as can be trained in this element of the role.
