An exciting senior leadership opportunity to shape housing services and lead complex commercial operations.
We are working in partnership with a local authority to recruit an experienced Housing Consultant to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across its housing portfolio and two subsidiary companies.
This is a pivotal role for an ambitious, commercially astute leader who can operate effectively across a local authority environment and corporate subsidiary structures, ensuring strong governance, financial sustainability and high-quality service delivery.
Reporting at senior executive level, you will be responsible for driving strategic priorities, improving operational performance, overseeing subsidiary company activity and ensuring services deliver value for money and positive outcomes for residents.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing strategic and operational leadership across housing services and two subsidiary companies.

Overseeing subsidiary performance, governance, business planning and commercial delivery.

Working closely with company boards, senior leaders and elected members.

Driving financial performance, efficiencies and organisational transformation.

Ensuring compliance, effective risk management and robust accountability.

Building strong partnerships and delivering improved outcomes for residents and communities.
The ideal candidate will bring:

Significant senior leadership experience within housing, local government or a related public sector environment.

Experience of overseeing subsidiary companies, commercial operations or complex partnerships.

Strong financial, commercial and governance expertise.

A track record of leading transformation and improving organisational performance.

The ability to influence at board and executive level and operate confidently in a politically sensitive environment.
