Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
We are recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a leading supplier of scientific and educational products.
Duties Include:

The majority of the role will involve order picking using handheld scanners

Picking orders accurately
-
Handling a wide range of scientific and educational products, including laboratory equipment, chemicals, glassware and biological specimens

Loading and unloading deliveries

Stock control and goods-in duties
-
Working across multiple warehouse floors, with extensive walking and regular use of stairs throughout the shift

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Please Note:
Some products supplied to schools and laboratories may include preserved biological specimens used for educational purposes, such as animal organs other dissection samples. Candidates must be comfortable working around these items.
Requirements:

Previous warehouse experience preferred

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Good reading, literacy and numeracy skills
-
Able to read product labels, pick sheets and order information accurately

Comfortable counting and verifying quantities to ensure the correct items and amounts are picked

Reliable and able to work as part of a team

Physically fit due to the high amount of walking and stair use throughout the shift

Comfortable working with a variety of scientific products and following health and safety procedures
Training:
The first 2 weeks will be on a 10:00am - 6:00pm shift before moving onto the permanent 2:00pm - 10:00pm shift.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic. Candidates who perform well and fit in with the team may be offered a permanent position.
