Job Title: Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker (Female)
Location: Huddersfield
Hours: Long days & sleepovers (Approx. 16-hour shifts, but flexible/negotiable)
We are seeking 2–3 reliable, compassionate, and flexible female Complex Care Support Workers to join an existing, supportive care team looking after a lady living in her own home. Due to the nature of the personal care required, this post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) for female applicants only.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent hours with the potential to pick up additional shifts within an established team.
Shift Patterns & Flexibility:

The role involves a pattern of long days and sleepover shifts.

A typical shift is approximately12- 16 hours, but we are highly open to reviewing and adjusting this to create a more suitable, flexible, and sustainable working arrangement for the right candidates.

Some general flexibility around shift patterns is highly desirable.
Key Clinical & Care Responsibilities:

Respiratory Support: Assisting with a Cough Assist machine to support airway clearance and monitoring breathing.

Continence Management: Providing daily catheter care (monitoring, emptying, and maintaining strict hygiene).

Complex Health Monitoring: Managing and monitoring a spinal injury and watching for signs of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)

Daily Living: Assisting with daily living tasks, personal care, medication management, and companionship.
What We Are Looking For:

Previous experience in complex care, spinal injury, catheter care, or respiratory support is highly desirable.

Alternatively: A strong willingness to learn. Full specialist training and clinical competency sign-off will be provided for the right candidates who demonstrate the right values and care aptitude.

A calm, observant, and proactive nature, with excellent communication skills.
