We're looking for a talented Womenswear Buyer with a passion for Dresses to join a seriously creative, fast-moving fashion business where individuality, fresh ideas and great product are everything.
This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to buy what's already out there. We want someone who gets excited about discovering new trends, finding that next must-have style and building collections that make customers stop scrolling and start shopping!
Working within a dynamic, trend-led womenswear team, you'll have the opportunity to shape a distinctive dress offer across stores and online, bringing together commercial thinking, creative flair and a real understanding of what today's fashion customer wants.
So, what's the role all about?
You'll take ownership of the Dresses category, from spotting the next big thing through to seeing it land with the customer. You'll be just as comfortable talking trends and product inspiration as you are analysing sales, managing budgets and making commercial decisions.
Your day-to-day will include:
· Creating exciting collections: Developing a fresh, relevant and commercially strong Dresses offer that keeps customers coming back for more.
· Being ahead of the curve: Keeping your finger on the pulse of emerging trends, street style, competitors and what's happening in the wider fashion world.
· Making product happen: Working closely with suppliers to develop unique products, explore new opportunities and bring exciting ideas to life.
· Owning the numbers: Managing OTB, analysing sales, identifying opportunities and knowing when to chase, cancel or change direction.
· Making an impact: Maximising sales and margin, driving full-price performance and keeping markdowns under control.
· Working collaboratively: Partnering with Merchandising, Design, Marketing, PR, E-commerce and Retail teams to make sure the product really delivers.
· Thinking bigger: Presenting ideas and seasonal strategies, influencing senior stakeholders and helping shape the future direction of the category.
· Leading from the front: Supporting and developing those around you, sharing your knowledge and bringing positive energy to the team.
What we're looking for...
· A proven Womenswear Buyer with strong experience in Dresses.
· Someone with a great eye for product, an instinct for trends and a genuine passion for fashion.
· A creative thinker who knows how to turn inspiration into commercially successful collections.
· Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing OTB, trading performance, margin and sales.
· Confident building supplier relationships, negotiating and developing product from concept through to delivery.
· A natural collaborator who enjoys working with different teams and bringing people along with their ideas.
· Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where things move quickly and no two days are quite the same.
· A confident communicator who can influence, present and bring fresh thinking to the table.
