Electrical Panel Builder / Wiring Technician

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are recruiting exclusively for a growing engineering and manufacturing business looking to strengthen its electrical assembly team.

With a busy order book and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Panel Builder or Wiring Technician to join a fast-paced production environment, with genuine opportunities for training, development and career progression.

The Role

Build and wire Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, distribution boards and electrical control panels.
Work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
Assemble electrical panels from component level through to final build.
Install copper busbars, complete panel layouts and carry out electrical wiring.
Ensure all work meets quality standards, customer specifications and production deadlines.
Work closely with the wider production team to maintain output and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in electrical panel building, wiring or electrical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience working with LV switchgear, distribution boards or control panels.
Confident with hands-on electrical assembly and wiring.
Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of electrical safety.
Relevant electrical apprenticeship, Level 3 qualification or equivalent practical experience.
