Infinity Employment is recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a well-established and growing precision manufacturing company based in Portsmouth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist manufacturer producing high-quality aircraft components, including seating controls and lighting systems for Boeing aircraft.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working with intricate components in a precision manufacturing environment.
Previous aerospace or aviation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Role:
Working within a skilled manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling small, intricate components to exacting quality standards.
The role involves a specialist manufacturing process known as potting, which involves applying protective compounds to electronic components and assemblies.
Full training in the company’s specific processes can be provided for candidates with the right assembly background.
Key Responsibilities:

Precision assembly of small mechanical and electrical components.

Working with intricate parts requiring excellent manual dexterity.

Carrying out specialist potting processes.

Following detailed assembly instructions and manufacturing specifications.

Conducting visual inspections and quality checks.
-
Ensuring all finished components meet strict quality standards.

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Experience:
-
A minimum of 1 year’s assembly experience is essential.

Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.

Good manual dexterity and confidence handling small, delicate components.

Experience in precision assembly, electronics or mechanical assembly.

Previous potting experience would be highly advantageous.

Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential.

A reliable, conscientious and positive attitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours:
Salary & Benefits;

Starting pay: £13.50 per hour

Overtime paid at time and a half (£20.25 per hour)

Permanent position – not temporary or temp-to-perm.
