The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Health and Social Care professional who is passionate about helping apprentices and learners achieve their potential?
We are looking for a Health and Social Care Trainer to plan, coordinate, deliver, assess and review learning activities for a caseload of apprentices and learners.
You will support individuals throughout their programme, prepare them for end-point assessment and monitor their off-the-job training to ensure they make strong and sustained progress.
Working closely with employers, you will organise workplace assessment visits, maintain proactive and regular contact and produce individual training plans that reflect every element of the learner’s programme.
You will conduct work-based assessments, provide constructive and timely written feedback, develop appropriate assessment materials and deliver learning in line with curriculum needs and awarding body requirements.
You will also support recruitment through interviews, skills analysis and initial assessments, help learners secure suitable work placements and build positive employer relationships that encourage repeat business. Alongside learner support, you will contribute to standardisation, internal quality processes and the compliance procedures associated with apprenticeship delivery.
About You
You will bring strong occupational knowledge of Health and Social Care, supported by at least two years’ relevant industry experience.
You will be confident managing a caseload, monitoring progress and supporting apprentices and learners in the workplace and through their end-point assessment preparation.
You will hold an appropriate Level 3 occupational qualification or a Level 4 qualification in a related field, together with an assessor award such as D32/33 or A1/2. You will also have a Level 4 teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one, and hold Level 2 or GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 or above.
Self-motivated, organised and resilient, you will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible approach will enable you to build effective relationships with learners, employers and colleagues, while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and supporting a safe, inclusive learning environment
