Trainee Recruitment Consultant: Skipton, North Yorkshire

We’re looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join Holt Doctors and build a career in healthcare recruitment.
You don’t need previous recruitment experience. What matters to us is that you’re confident, driven, enjoy speaking to people and are willing to learn.
You’ll receive training, coaching and support from an experienced team, developing your recruitment, sales and market knowledge while learning how to build relationships with doctors across the UK. As your experience grows, so will your responsibility, with the aim of building and successfully managing your own recruitment desk.
What the role involves
Working alongside experienced recruiters and our wider teams, you’ll learn the full recruitment process, including:

Building relationships with doctors and developing your own candidate network.

Speaking with doctors to understand their experience, availability and career plans.

Proactively sourcing new doctors using job boards, databases, LinkedIn and other sourcing methods.

Matching doctors with locum opportunities across the NHS and private healthcare sector.

Learning how to confidently present opportunities, generate interest and develop your sales skills.

Developing your knowledge of the healthcare recruitment market, including demand, pay rates and competitor activity.

Working with our Client Managers to understand vacancies and client requirements.

Supporting the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement, compliance and rebooking.

Working closely with our Compliance team to ensure doctors meet the necessary legislative and industry requirements.

Keeping candidate information accurate and up to date on our in-house CRM and using data to help prioritise your activity.

Promoting referral schemes and other initiatives to grow your doctor network.

Working collaboratively as part of a positive, ambitious team and taking part in the on-call rota to support recruitment operations.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to have worked in recruitment before. We’re much more interested in your attitude, potential and motivation to succeed.
You’ll need to be confident and comfortable speaking to new people, particularly over the phone, and enjoy building relationships. You'll be proactive, motivated by targets and willing to create opportunities rather than wait for them.
You’ll also be organised and able to manage different priorities in a fast-paced, multi-channel communication environment. Resilience is important too. Recruitment doesn’t always go to plan, so you'll need the determination to stay positive, learn and keep going.
Above all, we're looking for someone who wants to develop, is comfortable working with systems and data, and enjoys being part of a positive, ambitious and competitive team.
