Gold Education Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within primary schools across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas of Essex.
We are recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants and SEN Support Assistants who are passionate about supporting children's education, development and wellbeing.

We work with a range of primary schools throughout Chelmsford, offering opportunities across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
The Role
As a Primary Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and other education professionals to help pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve their individual learning goals.
Depending on the school and placement, your responsibilities may include:

Providing classroom support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Working with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis.

Supporting small groups with literacy, numeracy and other learning activities.

Assisting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties or social and emotional needs.

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop independence.

Supporting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.

Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitoring pupil engagement and communicating progress to teaching staff.

Supporting children's emotional wellbeing, confidence and social development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
-
Have previous experience working within a UK primary school.
-
Have experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEN Support Assistant.

Are confident supporting children with different learning abilities and additional needs.
-
Have a caring, patient and positive approach.
-
Can build strong working relationships with pupils, teachers and other school staff.
-
Are reliable, adaptable and professional.

Have good communication and organisational skills.

Understand the importance of safeguarding and child protection within education.
Previous experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous, particularly those with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or social, emotional and mental health needs.
