We are recruiting a Bodyshop Controller to join our family-run bodyshop group in Burgess Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Bodyshop experience is desirable but not essential, as team management and communication are our primary requirements.
Benefits:
£39,000–£42,120 basic salary, plus bonus potential and an approximate OTE of £49,320.
45-hour working week with flexible hours.
Only one in four Saturday mornings required on a rota.
20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

Opportunity to lead and develop a busy bodyshop operation.Duties:
As a Bodyshop Controller, oversee daily operations and maintain an efficient workflow.
Manage and motivate a productive team, setting daily and weekly targets.
Conduct morning toolbox meetings and coordinate effectively with the parts department.
Monitor repair progress, quality standards and delivery deadlines.
Maintain a tidy site and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
Drive the site towards monthly production and performance targets.
Liaise with dealerships, accident repair centres and external clients to support customer satisfaction.
Use basic IT systems and spreadsheets to monitor units and workflow.Requirements:
Previous experience as a Bodyshop Controller or in a similar automotive leadership role.
Candidates from dealership workshop control or other automotive sectors are welcome to apply.
Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
Excellent organisation with a focus on efficiency, quality and meeting deadlines.
Ability to motivate colleagues and maintain high operational standards.
Working knowledge of workshop health and safety requirements.
