This Trainee Estimator role offers a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, supporting contractors across the UK. The Trainee Estimator role combines technical understanding, commercial awareness and problem-solving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with detail and seeing projects develop from enquiry through to order.
The Role

You'll be trained on reviewing drawings and specifications, producing accurate quotations and supporting clients throughout the tender process.

Working closely with sales, production and project teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially viable and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing quotations from construction drawings and specifications

Reviewing tender documentation

Calculating material, labour and installation costs

Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers

Supporting the commercial team during tender submissions

Managing multiple enquiries and deadlines

Maintaining accurate records and project information

Assisting with project handovers following successful tenders
About You

An understanding of the estimating processes

Has good numerical and analytical skills

Works accurately under pressure and to deadlines

Is organised and self-motivated

Communicates clearly with colleagues, suppliers and customers

Is proficient with Microsoft Office applications
