Working Hours:
Tuesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday: 12:00pm - 3:30pm
Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to support women and children affected by domestic abuse.
You will provide one-to-one support, advocacy, risk assessments, safety planning and case management, helping service users access the support and resources they need to live safely and independently.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of women affected by domestic abuse
Complete risk assessments and safety plans
Provide advocacy and emotional support
Work with housing, police, health and other agencies
Maintain accurate case records
Requirements
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or domestic abuse survivors
Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment
Strong communication and advocacy skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload
Experience of multi-agency working
IDVA qualification/accreditation desirable but not essential.
