Your new role:
Based in South Essex, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company which specialises in the design, manufacturing, build and installation of automated machinery working in several industries. With a large order book and continuous projects for the next 3-6 years, this is an excellent time to join an ever-expanding business.
The business now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced equipment assembler/fitter to join their shop floor manufacturing team. The equipment assembly/fitter role is varied and requires machining, fitting, assembly and fault-finding skills. Keen attention to detail and careful handling of the specialist materials is essential. The ability to maintain focus and care when actioning the tasks of higher repetition will be essential.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Preparation of base materials, machining and lock assembly.
Assembling frameworks and fitting to machinery lines.
Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items ready for transport and assembly at customer sites - On occasion
Small amount of pneumatic assembly
Assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers' sites
This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.
Skills & Experience required:
Good basic engineering skills
Able to interpret equipment assembly drawings and maintain the high-quality finish and output levels expected by our customers.
Proven team work, attention to detail and good problem-solving.
Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining
Quality inspection
