The Company
The are an established water hygiene and water systems company, providing specialist services across the UK, but in particular London and the Southeast. Their work includes water hygiene alongside the maintenance, installation and servicing of water systems and associated equipment, including pumps, control panels, water tanks, swimming pools, spas, and dosing equipment.
They work across a varied range of environments, including residential developments, hospitals and schools, providing services to help their customers manage and maintain their water systems.
Behind their technical work is a busy commercial and administrative team responsible for ensuring quotations are accurate, suppliers are coordinated, contracts are kept up to date and our customers receive clear, professional communication.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a bright, organised and dependable individual to join their team in Leatherhead in a varied commercial administration role.
This is more than simply processing paperwork. You’ll become involved in the process behind our customer quotations and contracts, working with colleagues, suppliers and customers to make sure information is accurate, deadlines are met and everything keeps moving.
A key part of the role will be preparing quotations, obtaining information and pricing from suppliers, communicating with customers and helping manage contract renewals.
There is a technical side to what we do, but we don’t expect you to know everything on day one. What matters is that you’re numerate, comfortable working with detail, confident communicating with customers and willing to learn and understand the products and services you are quoting.
For someone who enjoys taking ownership, learning how a business works and developing their commercial and technical knowledge, there is plenty of opportunity to grow with the role and take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Working with colleagues to prepare accurate, professional quotations tailored to customer requirements.
-
Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, product information and other supporting information.
-
Communicating with customers by telephone and email regarding quotations, contracts and renewals.
-
Working alongside our Contracts Manager to help manage upcoming contract renewals.
-
Preparing and updating contract documentation.
-
Checking pricing, customer information and documentation carefully for accuracy.
-
Keeping customer, quotation and contract information up to date on our systems.
-
Following up information with colleagues, customers and suppliers where required.
-
Managing multiple priorities in a busy working environment.
-
Helping ensure our customers receive a professional, responsive and reliable service.
What We’re Looking For
This role could suit an experienced administrator looking for more responsibility, or someone with good commercial aptitude who wants an opportunity to develop.
You’ll probably enjoy the role if you:
-
Like being organised and keeping on top of several things at once.
-
Have an excellent eye for detail and take pride in getting things right.
-
Are comfortable and accurate when working with figures.
-
Communicate confidently and professionally by telephone and email.
-
Have strong administrative, organisational and time-management skills.
-
Are comfortable using modern computerised systems and learning new software.
-
Can manage your own workload and work independently when required.
-
Enjoy being part of a team and working with colleagues to get things done.
-
Are friendly, reliable and flexible.
-
Enjoy learning and are prepared to get to grips with the technical aspects of our products and services.
-
Want a position you can develop into rather than simply another administrative job.
Previous experience in quotations, estimating, contracts, purchasing, sales administration, customer service or a similar commercial environment would be beneficial, but it isn't everything.
Attitude, accuracy, aptitude and a willingness to learn are equally, if not, more important to us.
Benefits:
-
20 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
-
An additional one day of annual leave for each year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days plus bank holidays
-
Company pension
-
Permanent, full-time employment
-
The opportunity to develop your commercial and technical knowledge
-
The opportunity to take on greater responsibility as your experience and knowledge develop
Location
The position is based at our Leatherhead office.
This is an office-based role, reflecting the amount of day-to-day interaction required with the management team, and other members of the team.
