About CDS
CDS exists to provide, support and promote co‑operative and community‑led housing so that more people can live and work in co‑operative ways. We are the country’s largest provider of governance, financial and housing management support to small housing co‑operatives, we are small social landlord in our own right and we are innovating new routes to grow community‑led housing in England. Our work is values-led, people-focused and grounded in accountability.
The opportunity
As our Business Support Administrator, you’ll help colleagues deliver a great service to residents and keep our office running smoothly. Your role combines support for Housing Services with office management for Corporate Services. You’ll maintain accurate tenancy records, prepare resident communications, handle enquiries and produce reports, alongside organising supplies, meetings and events. You’ll make life easier for colleagues by anticipating what they need, keeping things organised and following tasks through to completion.
About you
You don’t need housing experience, but you do need initiative, a strong work ethic and pride in doing a job well. You bring experience of providing reliable administrative or support services, excellent attention to detail and confidence using Word, Excel and Outlook. You learn quickly, communicate clearly and can organise your workload as priorities change. You’re happy to get involved, tackle unfamiliar tasks and help wherever you can. You notice what needs doing and take action without waiting to be asked. Above all, you care about doing useful work, keeping your promises and leaving things better than you found them.
Our values
We recruit and develop people who live our values every day: Unity, Trust, Intention, Impact, Collaboration, Communication and Kindness. If these reflect how you work, we’d love to hear from you.
Working here
We offer hybrid working (2 days/week at our SE1 office), a supportive culture and opportunities to learn and develop alongside a competitive benefits package.
Inclusion
We are working to be an anti‑racist, inclusive organisation and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We value challenge, learning and different perspectives in all our work.
