A Roofer is required to join a well-established property maintenance contractor delivering responsive repairs and planned maintenance works within social housing properties across Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
Working for Millane, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of roofing repairs and maintenance works on occupied and void residential properties. The company is looking for either two roofers who can work together and share a company van, or a Roofer and Roofer's Mate partnership.
Previous social housing, domestic roofing or reactive maintenance experience is highly desirable. Candidates must be able to work professionally within occupied properties and deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Daily Responsibilities:
Carrying out roofing repairs and maintenance on social housing properties
Diagnosing and rectifying roofing defects including leaks and weather damage
Working on pitched and flat roofs
Replacing roof tiles, slates, felt, leadwork, guttering, fascias and soffits
Completing associated roofing works safely and efficiently
Liaising professionally with residents and housing providers
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Requirements:
Previous roofing experience within social housing, domestic maintenance or responsive repairs
Knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems
Full UK driving licence (for Roofer positions)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good customer service and communication skills
CSCS card preferred
