Oversee EHCP applications, annual reviews, statutory paperwork and the Assess, Plan, Do, Review (APDR) cycle.
Maintain accurate SEND records, including the SEND register, individual support plans and relevant documentation.
Liaise with parents, external agencies, educational psychologists and local authority SEND teams to coordinate appropriate support.
Monitor the progress of pupils with SEND, reviewing interventions and making adjustments where necessary.
Support and advise class teachers and teaching assistants on appropriate strategies, classroom adaptations and the implementation of EHCP provisions.
Ensure the school meets its statutory SEND responsibilities in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
Requirements of This SENDCo Role:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the SENDCo NPQ or recognised equivalent qualification.
Previous experience working as a SENDCo within a primary school setting.
Strong working knowledge of EHCP applications, annual reviews, statutory deadlines and SEND legislation.

Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A practical, proactive approach to SEND coordination and supporting staff in meeting pupils' individual needs.
Why Apply?
This is a full-time SENDCo position (5 days per week) within a supportive primary school that already has an established structure for wider inclusion.
