Salary: £40,000 - £50,000+ Basic Salary DOE
OTE: £55,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

THE ROLE
As a Commercial Panel Beater, you will carry out accident damage and body repairs on commercial vehicles, returning them to the road safely, accurately and to the required quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing accident damage and deciding on the most effective repair method.
- Repairing and replacing damaged panels on vans, trucks and other commercial vehicles.
- Removing, fitting and aligning cab panels, body panels and bodywork components.
- Carrying out MIG/MAG welding and fabrication work where required.
- Preparing repaired areas to a high standard ready for the paint shop.
- Following manufacturer repair methods and health and safety procedures.
- Working with workshop colleagues to keep repairs on schedule and vehicles back on the road.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience as a Panel Beater, ideally on commercial vehicles, within a commercial or accident repair Bodyshop.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Accident Repair Body (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / VRQ / ATA or equivalent).
- Competent MIG/MAG welding skills, with fabrication experience an advantage.
- Good understanding of repair methods and safe working practices in a commercial workshop.
- Able to work accurately and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- A reliable, organised approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
