Position Brief
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Senior Partnership Director to join a market-leading insurance group. In this high-profile role, you will take strategic ownership of a mature portfolio of 10 high-profile affinity and Appointed Representative (AR) partnerships, which currently generate circa £1m in revenue.
Operating as the principal relationship lead, you will act as a trusted adviser to executive board members, CEOs, and Managing Directors across our partner network. This position demands a sophisticated blend of commercial acumen, corporate relationship management, and rigorous regulatory oversight.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic direction of the division's affinity propositions—specifically focusing on the Education, Student, and Not-for-Profit (NFP) sectors—to protect existing revenue, maintain pristine client retention, and unlock ambitious growth channels.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Strategic Partnership Leadership: Take full ownership of high-profile affinity and Appointed Representative portfolios. Serve as the senior relationship lead and trusted adviser to protect existing revenue streams and foster long-term loyalty.
• Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Build immediate credibility with senior decision-makers (CEOs, MDs, and Board Members), aligning proposition offerings with partner priorities to influence mutual strategic direction.
• Commercial Growth & Partner Development: Look beyond traditional account management to identify, build, and deliver organic growth. Enhance existing propositions, execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies, and develop innovative affinity initiatives to meet a Year 1 growth target of 5%.
• Governance & Regulatory Oversight: Act as the senior sponsor for the Appointed Representative portfolio. Ensure robust governance frameworks are strictly maintained in line with FCA regulatory obligations, collaborating closely with internal compliance teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
• Influencing Business Strategy: Actively shape the future framework of the division's affinity proposition, contributing directly to strategic growth plans and identifying emerging market trends.
• Market Representation & Thought Leadership: Serve as a prominent external ambassador for the division, representing the business at national industry conferences, client events, and senior stakeholder forums.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Unite cross-functional internal teams—spanning relationship management, operations, compliance, and insurer partners—to deliver unified client solutions, while mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues.

• Sustainable Revenue Growth: Securing consistent year-on-year growth across the portfolio.
• Robust AR Compliance: Maintaining faultless governance and operational oversight across all Appointed Representative relationships.
