The Role
As a Dispensing Optician, you will play an important role in delivering an outstanding patient experience, using your clinical knowledge, dispensing expertise and excellent communication skills to ensure every patient receives the right advice and solutions for their visual needs.
You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, provide tailored recommendations and contribute to the continued success of a practice that values quality over a one-size-fits-all approach.
Key responsibilities will include:

Providing professional dispensing services and expert advice on spectacle lenses, frames and lens options.

Conducting thorough dispensing consultations to understand patients' individual visual requirements, lifestyle and preferences.

Taking accurate measurements and ensuring spectacles are fitted comfortably and correctly.

Advising patients on lens technology, coatings, frame suitability and other optical products.

Delivering exceptional levels of customer service and building long-term relationships with patients.

Carrying out adjustments, repairs and aftercare to ensure patients receive the best possible service.

Working closely with the optometrists and wider practice team to ensure a smooth and positive patient journey.

Supporting the day-to-day running of the practice and maintaining high professional standards.

Keeping up to date with developments in optical products, dispensing techniques and best practice.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Dispensing Optician who is confident in their abilities, professional in their approach and genuinely passionate about providing outstanding patient care.
You will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the motivation to succeed. You will take pride in your work, enjoy helping patients find the best solutions for their needs and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure every patient leaves feeling confident and well cared for.
We are looking for someone who:

Holds a recognised Dispensing Optician qualification and is registered with the GOC.

Has excellent dispensing knowledge and a strong understanding of spectacle lenses and frames.

Demonstrates outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Is organised, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
