Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across Lambeth and Wandsworth to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable teachers for day-to-day supply roles starting in October 2026.
Whether you're seeking regular work, part-time opportunities, or the flexibility to fit teaching around other commitments, supply teaching offers the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of school settings while maintaining control over your availability.
The Role
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, responsibilities may include:
Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
Maintaining a positive, engaging and productive learning environment
Managing behaviour in line with individual school policies
Supporting students' learning and progress throughout lessons
Following safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Providing feedback to teaching and pastoral staff when required
Adapting confidently to different school environments and subject areas
About You
We are looking for teachers who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
Have recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Can adapt quickly to different schools, departments and teaching requirements
Are committed to supporting positive outcomes for all students
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or are willing to obtain oneApplications are welcomed from experienced teachers, ECTs who have completed their induction requirements, and teachers returning to the profession.
