Advanced Resourcing are a forward-thinking Agency that specialise within the Manufacturing & Engineering recruitment sector and work with clients all over the West Midlands and Shropshire area.
Due to continued growth, our client is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Stock Controller to join their growing workforce.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background within manufacturing and someone who enjoys investigating discrepancies, making sense of data and finding practical ways to improve how we work.
This role is based in Cannock and you’ll work closely with our Finance Director and production teams, helping us keep stock accurate, understand manufacturing costs and turn business data into useful information.
What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out stock checks, supporting month-end stocktakes and investigating differences.

Analysing production figures, costs and margins, highlighting areas that need attention.

Keeping cost models up to date as material, labour and overhead costs change.

Preparing clear reports to help managers make informed decisions.

Improving data accuracy in Sage and Advanced Workshop.

Supporting budgeting, forecasting and improvements across our sites.
What we’re looking for:

AAT Level 4, part-qualified CIMA, or relevant accounting experience. We’re also happy to consider recent graduates in accounting, finance or a related subject, and those working towards these qualifications.

An understanding of stock control, costing or manufacturing finance, gained through work or study.

Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables.

A keen eye for detail and a practical approach to solving problems.

Someone who can explain their findings clearly and work well with finance and production colleagues.
Experience with Sage, Advanced Workshop or a similar manufacturing system would be an advantage.
