We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join our successful, family-run automotive business in Suffolk. This Accounts Assistant role offers an experienced finance professional a stable Monday to Friday position, supportive working environment and clear opportunities for long-term progression.

Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

As an Accounts Assistant, maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Process and record payments in line with company procedures.
Operate cash management and credit control systems.
Provide accurate financial information to support management controls.
Ensure financial activities comply with relevant guidelines and procedures.
Use business systems and technology effectively.
Manage your own workload and contribute to the effective operation of the business.
Work collaboratively with other departments to improve profitability and customer care.
Build positive working relationships across the business.
Support process improvements and company projects involving other sites, departments and franchises.
Promote high standards of quality, communication and customer care.Requirements:
Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar finance position.
Good understanding of financial records, payment processing and credit control.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
Effective communication and listening skills.
Customer-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
Confidence using business systems and technology.
