About the company
An established sheet metal fabrication company in Aldermans Green, Coventry. The business is busy and growing, with a small, close-knit team, and they’re looking for a skilled MIG welder to join them long-term.
The role
-
MIG welding sheet metal fabrications from 1.0mm to 6mm

Working mainly in mild steel and stainless steel, with some aluminium

Some TIG welding on precision work

Fabricating and assembling components from engineering drawings

Producing neat, accurate welds to a high standard of finish

Checking your own work for quality and accuracy
What they’re looking for

Around 5 years’ MIG welding experience, ideally on thin to medium gauge sheet metal

Confident welding mild steel and stainless; aluminium experience is a plus
-
Some TIG experience is an advantage

Able to read and work from engineering drawings

Takes pride in a clean, precise finish

Reliable, punctual and works well in a team

Own transport is preferred, due to the location
