An established, multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their growing Fire Consultancy team. The successful Fire Risk Assessor will work alongside experienced fire safety professionals, supporting clients with fire risk assessments, regulatory compliance and practical fire safety solutions across a diverse property portfolio.
The Fire Risk Assessor's Role
Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments across residential, commercial and public sector properties.
Identify fire hazards, evaluate risks and provide clear recommendations for remedial action.
Produce detailed, accurate fire risk assessment reports in line with current legislation and guidance.
Advise clients on fire safety compliance, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Work collaboratively with fire consultants, surveyors and other technical specialists.
Manage site visits, client relationships and assessment deadlines effectively.
The Fire Risk Assessor
Proven experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor within the built environment.
Relevant fire safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, Level 3 or Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment, or equivalent.
Membership of a recognised professional body, such as IFSM or IFE, is desirable.
Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, British Standards and relevant guidance.
Experience assessing a variety of property types.
Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
