We are urgently recruiting a proactive Resident Liaison Officer to join an established main contractor delivering major kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes across designated social housing estates in West London and the Borough of Westminster.
(Note: Patch coverage is localised to designated contract zones within these boroughs—it will not cover all areas).
Paying £17.00 to £23.00 per hour, you will be the key operational link between residents, tradespeople, site managers, and client housing officers—ensuring smooth project delivery, high resident satisfaction, and minimal disruption inside residents' homes.
Why Apply for This Role
Competitive Pay Range: £17.00 – £23.00 per hour depending on experience and payment route.
Focused Patch Coverage: Work within specific, defined local estates across West London and Westminster rather than widespread travel across all areas.
Immediate Start: Rapid review process with quick onboarding for candidates ready to start short-notice.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Choice & Colour Choices: Conduct home visits prior to works starting to complete kitchen/bathroom choice sheets (units, worktops, flooring, tile colours) and walk tenants through the refurbishment schedule.
Access Management: Work closely with Site Supervisors and multi-trade teams to schedule appointments, confirm daily access, and keep refurbishment timelines on track across designated patches.
Condition & Vulnerability Assessments: Identify vulnerable residents, complete condition surveys, and arrange tailored support or temporary facilities where needed during active works.
Inquiry & Dispute Resolution: Act as the main on-site point of contact for tenant queries or complaints, resolving issues swiftly and carrying out post-completion sign-offs and satisfaction surveys.
Site Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily liaison logs, update progress trackers, and report site updates to operational managers.
Candidate Profile & Requirements:
RLO Experience (Essential): Proven track record as an RLO or Tenant Liaison Officer within social housing, planned maintenance, or internal refurbishments (kitchens & bathrooms).
Driving Licence (Mandatory): Valid Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle to travel between assigned estate patches.
Resident Focus: Strong communication, empathy, and active conflict-resolution skills when working with diverse resident groups in occupied homes.
Organisation: Proficient in maintaining daily contact logs, tracker updates, and coordinating schedules with site trades.
Location: Must live within an easy commute of West London or Westminster (e.g., Westminster, Ealing, Acton, Shepherd's Bush, Hounslow, Brent, Hammersmith).
